I am currently studying Cognitive-Behavioural Hypnotherapy (CBH) to expand the range of techniques I can offer to those coping with health-related challenges.

Like many people, my life has been peppered with difficulties. I know how it feels when unexpected changes take the wind out of you, and along with loved ones, I’ve had to navigate the emotional and physical impact of illness, loss, and pain. A life-changing diagnosis can bring a period of grief — a mourning for the life that once was — and it takes time, strength, and support to find a new way forward.

I am continually inspired by the resilience and courage of those living with chronic illness and pain, and I’m always looking for practical, compassionate ways to help when things feel overwhelming. The course I’m completing is rich with evidence-based, highly effective techniques for managing pain, anxiety, and treatment-related symptoms such as nausea and fatigue.

Cognitive-Behavioural approaches help us understand how our thoughts, emotions, and behaviours interact — and how these patterns can sometimes keep us stuck.

By combining CBT techniques with hypnotherapy, we can break unhelpful cycles and build more positive, supportive ways of thinking and responding, promoting greater resilience and wellbeing.

I expect to be fully qualified to offer Cognitive-Behavioural Hypnotherapy to clients by mid-2026, and I’m excited to bring these powerful tools into my work to further support those on their healing journeys.

“It’s not what happens to you, but how you react to it that matters.”

While we can’t always control external events, we can choose how we respond to them.

Cognitive-Behavioural Hypnotherapy supports that choice — helping you develop the tools to think, feel, and act in ways that promote resilience and wellbeing.

I am studying these skills to support people experiencing chronic pain, anxiety, and treatment-related symptoms that can be difficult to manage.

The secret of change is to focus all of your energy not on fighting the old, but on building the new.”

How does it work?

My studies in Cognitive-Behavioural Hypnotherapy are fully evidence-based. CBT is the most researched and studied area of psychotherapy and recommended by NHS. My goal is to bring these evidence-based techniques alongside yoga to help people manage chronic pain, nausea from chemotherapy, emotional challenges and the ups and downs of living with long-term conditions.

This work is fully practical and grounded in science, giving you tools to support your body and mind, reduce discomfort, and feel more in control of your wellbeing.
