This gentle Hatha yoga class focuses on creating harmony between stretching soft tissue and strengthening muscle. The practice encourages balance between the left and right sides of the body, helping you build strength, mobility and awareness in a calm and steady way.
Modifications are always offered, and props are often used to support you in finding a version of each posture that works for your body.
Who this Hatha Yoga class is for
This class is suitable for everyone except pregnant practitioners, and may be of particular benefit to those recovering from injury or with moderate mobility issues. It’s ideal for anyone who enjoys a slower-paced, mindful practice that focuses on alignment, breath and gentle strength-building.
Beginners are welcome. If you’re completely new to yoga, we recommend starting with the Yoga for Beginners class if possible, but it’s not essential.
You can expect:
Gentle, structured movement that balances strength and flexibility
Clear alignment guidance and individual support
Props and modifications to make the practice accessible
A calm, friendly environment where you can work at your own pace
Time for breathwork and relaxation to end each class

About Your Teacher Bindie
My own yoga journey began over 40 years ago, but it was a while before I decided to teach in 2010. Having trained extensively with world renowned tutors I now have a passion for the miraculous human body, so anatomy and physiology are my 'thing'.
I trained with Simon Low at The Yoga Academy and am now a member of the teacher training faculty in Spain. I am accredited by the British Wheel of Yoga and am an E-RYT500 Yoga Alliance (US) teacher. Most of my classes are taught live in Suffolk, but I also offer classes via Zoom. For the past four years I have delivered the BWY Foundation Course 1 course in Bury St Edmunds where I also taught yoga for Long Covid on behalf of the NHS, and yoga for those living with cancer.
In addition I am a qualified WellWoman teacher, accredited by Birthlight, focusing on women's health.
