About Your Teacher Bindie

Bindie Edwards of Steady Light lying on her stomach on a yoga mat, smiling at the camera, reading an anatomy book, in a room with wooden flooring and a mirror on the wall, teaching Hatha yoga in bury st edmunds

My own yoga journey began over 40 years ago, but it was a while before I decided to teach in 2010. Having trained extensively with world renowned tutors I now have a passion for the miraculous human body, so anatomy and physiology are my 'thing'.

I trained with Simon Low at The Yoga Academy and am now a member of the teacher training faculty in Spain. I am accredited by the British Wheel of Yoga and am an E-RYT500 Yoga Alliance (US) teacher. Most of my classes are taught live in Suffolk, but I also offer classes via Zoom. For the past four years I have delivered the BWY Foundation Course 1 course in Bury St Edmunds where I also taught yoga for Long Covid on behalf of the NHS, and yoga for those living with cancer.

In addition I am a qualified WellWoman teacher, accredited by Birthlight, focusing on women's health.

On my first visit to yoga early evening Bindie kept checking on me and the staff were very helpful on the reception, they took me in and were there for feedback at the end. All absolutely wonderful. Thank you.
