Welcome to Steady Light

Empowering you to live well, move freely and find your balance

Steady, compassionate yoga and hypnotherapy in Bury St Edmunds to help you live well, whatever your body’s story

Welcome, I’m Bindie

I’ve been practising yoga for over forty years and teaching for more than fifteen. Based at The Self Centre in Bury St Edmunds, I specialise in gentle, evidence-informed yoga for people living with health challenges, chronic pain, fatigue, or the effects of illness. I have a deep passion for anatomy and the body’s ability to adapt and self-heal, and I bring this understanding, alongside compassion, into every class.

My aim is to create a supportive space where you can reconnect with your body, find practical tools to manage symptoms, and rediscover balance, confidence, and ease, whatever life has brought your way.

When life feels out of sorts, yoga can help to gently piece things back together... not by fixing what’s broken, but by helping you find balance, ease, and a sense of wholeness again.

Cognitive-Behavioural Hypnotherapy

I also offer Cognitive-Behavioural Hypnotherapy (CBH) to bring some relief for those living with general or illness-related anxiety and physical symptoms. CBH combines well-researched psychological approaches with focused relaxation, imagery and hypnosis to build confidence and coping skills, helping you to feel more in control and like yourself again. This work has grown naturally from my yoga teaching and a wish to offer practical, compassionate support when life feels uncertain. A combination of yoga, CBT and hypnosis can start you on the road to recovery, and increased ease in both body and mind.
