Welcome to Steady Light
Empowering you to live well, move freely and find your balance
Steady, compassionate yoga in Bury St Edmunds to help you live well, whatever your body’s story.
Welcome, I’m Bindie
I’ve been practising yoga for over forty years and teaching for more than fifteen. Based at The Self Centre in Bury St Edmunds, I specialise in gentle, evidence-informed yoga for people living with health challenges, chronic pain, fatigue, or the effects of illness. I have a deep passion for anatomy and the body’s ability to adapt and self-heal, and I bring this understanding, alongside compassion, into every class.
My aim is to create a supportive space where you can reconnect with your body, find practical tools to manage symptoms, and rediscover balance, confidence, and ease, whatever life has brought your way.
When life feels out of sorts, yoga can help to gently piece things back together... not by fixing what’s broken, but by helping you find balance, ease, and a sense of wholeness again.

Cognitive-Behavioural Hypnotherapy
I am currently completing training in Cognitive-Behavioural Hypnotherapy, which I hope to finish by mid-2026. My goal is to bring evidence-based techniques alongside yoga to help people manage chronic pain, nausea from chemotherapy, emotional challenges and the ups and downs of living with long-term conditions. This work is fully practical and grounded in science, giving you tools to support your body and mind, reduce discomfort, and feel more in control of your wellbeing.
